« What we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and our hands have touched, this is the Word of life … What we have seen and heard we announce to you too ». (1 Jn 1, 1-3)

More than friends, the Sowers of Hope are heart felt Jesus-Host, who want to sow seeds of the new evangelization among the poor. Besides the running of conferences and adoration eves, the purpose of this catholic group is to recognize and acknowledge the visage of Christ through the poverty of homeless people. Mother Teresa tries to answer the question: “Who is Jesus?” She doesn’t only say “He is the Word, the Life, the Light”, but “He is the bread to eat, the light to bring, the sick to heal …” In this “to” the presence of God reveals itself and that’s where we seek his being. When we mention poverty, we don’t only have in mind the materialistic and tangible suffering of the homeless, but we also have in our heart their cries, which have no “why”. There are tears that we show and tears that we hide, tears that we shed because of our sins, and tears that have stopped being shed because… because we don’t know “why”. As little sowers of hope our vocation is to reap those tears and make them one with Christ. We are invited to sow the graces received from the Heart of Jesus through adoration. We deeply believe Hope can be passed on through us, little creatures that we are, beings that God wanted to be created in his own image. The Sowers of Hope have activities embracing Mary’s and Martha’s calling. |
